Why Try Online Dating Sites?

There are many reasons behind why people join online dating sites. The convenience of the internet is one. Having a much larger dating pool is another. For some, being able to have the protection of being anonymous and behind a computer screen creates a feeling of safety that enables them to enter the dating world in the smaller steps they crave. Then there are those who use online dating sites for untoward purposes.
According to an MSN article by Meredith Broussard titled 10 Dating Statistics You Ought to Know, “40 million Americans use online dating services; that’s about 40 percent of our entire U.S. single-people pool.” The other statistics in the article are also very interesting . . . and enlightening.
Today’s question is, “Why do YOU use an online dating site?”
