An article titled, “Survey Shows that Singles Choose Love Over Money ” from onlinedatingmagazine.com reveals some interesting statistics from a True.com survey of singles.

Overwhelmingly, the almost 3,000 respondents were more interested in dating/love than in the income or finances of potential dates/mates.

It got me thinking about my own experiences in dating. I have run across many men who feel that women treat them like wallets, and I have run into some men who were more interested in how much money I earn than in anything else. I have run across many men who don’t want to ’support’ a woman/a woman and her children from previous marriages/relationships, and I have run across women who do not ever want to combine finances with their future mate. I have also run into many men and women who ran  credit checks  as part of background checks, or wanted them included as part of standard background check protocol. Therefore, my own experiences have not reflected the results of the survey.

Perhaps my experiences are off, or perhaps the survey is off. In the interest of unofficial science, I am wondering what the experiences of others have been.

Today’s Question: As you get acquainted with prospective dates online, has your experience shown that others are more interested in love or money?
